Vital Drawing - charcoal/pastel

In my final session of the three drawing workshops we tackle charcoal and pastel. I call them the 'elusive' mediums as they require fixing to save them from simply 'falling off' the support.

The fundamental elements of drawing are nearer to painting with these mediums as so many options lay open to us. Although pastel in it's broadest sense is a painting medium, today we will concentrate on the way it can be utilised in monochrome. A seductive tool, as is charcoal undervalued in their use as a drawing medium

The session is for artists of all competencies who want to improve or reconnect with the methods of drawing.
