2) Art holidays

Booking a painting holiday is a consideration that many artists take great care in making, Max Hale also takes care in assuring that the venue, accommodation, food, tuition and all other elements of the holiday are carefully inspected, up to standard and in place before going away.

Venues are often personally run by the owners and can be by the nature of their remoteness, and period not necessarily modern in appearance or facility. This, however, does not mean that the visitor needs to concern themselves that they will suffer poor service or have discomfort during their stay. Many are listed buildings and may have restrictions on development so that perhaps sharing a bathroom for instance or having uneven flooring should not be considered an inconvenience but part of the charm that gives the venue its special quality. Every consideration for your comfort and enjoyment is taken very seriously by Max Hale and the owner of the holiday venue.

Getting about - It is important to consider that unless stated in the holiday information, getting around on a painting holiday is the artist’s responsibility. Should you arrive on public transport, arrangements should be considered for your travel during the holiday when we paint out or visit local places of interest. Often other artists will share their car with those that don’t have one but of course, this is at their discretion and not guaranteed.

Painting holidays are booked via an appropriate booking form and are confirmed by a £100 deposit for each person whether painter or other persons travelling together.
Holiday deposits are strictly non-refundable once the place is confirmed by Max Hale
The balance of the holiday is due 8 weeks before the commencement of the holiday.

Cancellation: Max Hale reserves the right to cancel painting holidays if the circumstances dictate. In this unlikely event, you will be offered an alternative holiday or have any fees paid fully refunded. If you have to cancel less than twelve weeks before the start of the holiday, please see refund structure below:
